Every decision we make is in the best interest of the reptiles in our care, ensuring they have the best chance of finding a permanent, safe habitat. While you may be drawn to the appearance of a specific reptile, it’s important to remember that their personality and needs must align with your environment and lifestyle. Just like with reptiles, every creature has unique behaviors and preferences.
Therefore, it’s crucial to understand two things:
(1) Our process is consistent for all, ensuring fairness and thoroughness, and
(2) Our goal is not to frustrate you, but to find the best fit for both you and the reptile.
With a high success rate in rehoming reptiles, we take great pride in our program’s standards. Our ultimate priority is securing a happy, thriving future for every reptile in our care.
Once you’ve submitted your online adoption application, one of our team members will reach out to you ONLY IF YOU ARE APPROVED to meet the reptile you’ve applied for. We will contact you as soon as possible if we believe the reptile is a good match for your home and environment. Our goal is to ensure a perfect match, so patience is appreciated as we carefully assess each fit.

Meet Puck – $50
Puck was hit by a car, skidding across the road like a hockey puck. Puck is a full-grown male yellow-bellied slider, and we suspect he may have been a pet that was abandoned. When we first found him, he was severely dehydrated and had road rash, but he’s come a long way since then. After about five months together, he’s become very comfortable. He eagerly eats anything offered and loves lounging on his rock to bask. He’s truly a beautiful turtle who is just looking for his forever home. Can that be you?

Meet Benny, a 5-year-old male ball python with a heart as warm as his scales! This gentle guy loves being held, exploring the great outdoors (safely, of course), and turning your arms into his personal jungle gym. Benny is looking for a forever home with someone who enjoys spending quality time with their scaly companion. Meet Ramen, a 1-year-old male ball python with eyes that melt your heart! Ramen was abandoned during an eviction, and a kind landlord reached out for help. He was in need of hydration, proper care, and some assistance with a stuck shed. Now medically cleared and thriving, Ramen is ready to find his forever home!
Meet Big Ang – $50
Meet Big Ang, a stunning 21-year-old Ball Python with a heart as gentle as her name is bold. This sweet girl loves to relax and unwind, making her the perfect Netflix-and-chill buddy for anyone looking for a calm, affectionate companion. Despite her age, Big Ang is full of quiet charm and curiosity, and she’s patiently waiting for her forever home where she can spend her golden years loved and comfortable.
Meet Zilly – $50
Meet Zilly, a beautiful 4-year-old female leopard gecko who is officially ready for her forever home! Zilly is calm, curious, and loves to watch the world from her favorite warm spot. She’s healthy, well-adjusted, and would make a wonderful companion for both new and experienced reptile keepers. Meet Taffy – $75
Meet Taffy, a lively female Russian tortoise found wandering outside on August 17, 2025, on the Timber Trail in East Hartford. Despite efforts, no owner came forward, so Taffy is now ready to find her forever home. She’s been fully medically cleared and is in great health. Taffy is an active, curious tortoise who loves to explore and interact with people—making her a wonderful addition to any loving family ready to provide her with the care and attention she deserves. Meet Chomper – $400
Meet Chomper, our striking 4-year-old platinum hybrid tegu (black and white × red × blue) with a personality as unforgettable as his colors. This handsome boy is extremely food motivated, loves to explore, and thrives when he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment. Chomper is very sweet, but like most tegus, he does best with someone who is familiar with larger lizards and confident in their care. He loves attention, enjoys his routines, and—believe it or not—has a soft spot for Celine Dion. Chomper is officially looking for his forever home, and he’s ready for an adopter who can match his energy, meet his needs, and give him the love he deserves.

Meet Vader, a handsome 3-year-old bearded dragon with a bright spirit and a touch of spunk that makes him unforgettable. This sweet boy loves to soak up warmth, watch the world from his favorite perch, and charm anyone who spends a moment with him. Meet Kevin – $75 – Medical Hold
Meet Kevin, a 3-year-old Russian tortoise (originally thought to be a female Hermann’s) who was recently surrendered to Petco and is now safe in our care. Kevin is an absolute sweetie pie with a calm, friendly personality and a curious nature that makes him a joy to be around. He’s currently undergoing deworming treatment and will be available for adoption once he receives a negative fecal result. This little explorer will make a wonderful companion for someone ready to give him a loving, permanent home!
Meet Frida – $75 – Medical Hold
Meet Frida, a sweet and spirited 2-year-old Sulcata tortoise who loves to explore and be around people. She’s curious, friendly, and full of personality—but as a Sulcata, she will grow quite large and requires a dedicated home prepared to meet her long-term care needs. Frida has a history of bladder stones, so it’s important that her future family is attentive to her diet, hydration, and habitat to help keep her healthy. She’s currently awaiting final medical clearance, but applications are open now for those ready to give this wonderful girl the lifelong care and love she deserves.
Meet Mushu – $50 – Medical Hold
Meet Mushu, a 6-year-old female Bearded Dragon with a heart full of sweetness and a gentle spirit. She came to us needing some extra care — she’s currently being treated for scale rot, a swollen eye, overgrown nails, and difficulty shedding. Despite it all, Mushu remains calm, friendly, and curious, soaking up attention and affection from everyone she meets. Once she’s fully healed, this charming girl will make a wonderful, loving companion for the right home.
Meet Mochi – $50 – Medical Hold
Meet Mochi, a sweet 2-year-old bearded dragon who is currently on medical hold as he undergoes treatment and prepares for surgery. Even through everything, his gentle personality and curious nature shine. Once he’s medically cleared, Mochi will be looking for a dedicated forever home that can provide proper husbandry and long-term care. He may be small, but his heart is huge—and he deserves a future filled with stability and love. Applications will open once he’s cleared, so stay tuned for this special boy.
